Our Final Direction Boards for presentation....
Along with our power point presentation, we made some conclution boards to
make it clear what we have produced , our process and why.

What we did ( Our Designs + Final )...

Group Evaluation
This is the evaluation we filled in together, having to define our roles and rate each group member...

Feedback from Tutor

It seems like a good idea, which was well presented, but still does not completely make sense. It would be better if as a group you decided where the poster would be placed to gain publicity. The map would work better with more information about the picnic, and to only include the relevant areas. The products should be photographed in context, and if an actually tea party could be held this would really make this a live brief. It would be good to gather the reactions of those attending the picnic
Self Evaluation....

What problem did you identify?
After general research, our group concluded that there was a limited amount of activities/places/days out for family's couples and the elder generation in Leeds, As the population of students in Leeds is always increasing. On our design direction board we have shown a broad range of advertisements , only a couple of these are aimed away from students.
What evidence did you find to support your decisions?
As a group we wondered around Leeds collecting leaflets, flyer's and magazines, mainly from places we have already visited, we found that all the research we had gathered were aimed at students or our generation. We then went to the tourist information office in the station , we found lots of evidence here, again aimed at students, but also some for other audiences. This evidence lead us to wanting to find more 'unknown' places in Leeds, so we created a facebook group called 'secret Leeds' we tried to invite general residents of Leeds to find out there opinions on the subject and what they did to get away from the student environment, but we only got three replies. This limited amount of evidence encouraged us to want to advertise our problem to the citizens of Leeds in out own way, we started to produce some ideas and share thoughts.
What methods did you use to gather your evidence and what forms did it take?
We questioned our peers on their favourite and unknown places in and around Leeds. We also found a great deal of research on the Internet , websites and discussion boards were popular, and alot of the public were complaining about the few destination in Leeds for them to spend time at,  away from students.
What methods of research did you find useful and why?
Finding out peoples opinions on secret Leeds from Internet research and questioning residents passing by, by doing this we discovered St.Georges field, a park where we were then to base our ideas on.
How did these inform your response to the problem?
One of our group members found out about St.Georges field by asking a local resident her favourite place in Leeds to relax and spend time away from the student, city atmosphere.
What research could you have carried out that would have proved more useful?
we could have produced some primary evidence that there was not enough quiet areas in Leeds, maybe monitored how quiet some areas were at different times, or visited more places around the city instead of in the city.
5 things that I have learnt about the design process
After concluding our idea, and being happy with out outcome , i figured that there was alot to improve on.
As a group i felt we all decided that we could have done more to test and evaluate our ideas e.g gone ahead with the tea-cup ideas on the tree. Instead of just being happy with one idea, test and try a few others , no matter what the outcome.
Overall i have learnt that the problem is never solved, it can always be imporved and carried on,
And making mistakes is all in the process of making the perfect final.
