Who else is out there - how good are they?
As my interests lie within Fashion and Retail i have researched into various practitioners withing that industry. I have chose to focus on designers that have been involved in the digital and print aspects of promotion and advertisement for various company's and brands.
The Fashion industry a very fast moving and constantly changing place. The industry relys on modern and unique design ideas for branding and promotion that requires constant reinvention. Fashion in When designing for fashion you must represent the main style and purpose of the brand and at the same time push boundaries and expectations of it. This is Often seen as a showcase for many of design studios most inventive work.
'the seasonal nature of the end product provides a limitless testing ground for new ideas and innovative production solutions'

Ollie cunningham is a young graphic designer currently working on promotional material for Burton Menswear and web designs at Arcadia Group Ltd for Burton Menswear.
He Studied at the University of Teesside where he practised in Typography, Image Making, Illustration, Art History and completed many challenging design breifs in the process.

Ollies Experiences...
Ollies Education, qualifications and awards
Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, 1997
Head Boy at Grove School, Nottinghamshire, 1996
Concluding Ollie...
As He has worked with a brand that i would die to design for , i am keen to know just how he got noticed and involved with it 'Jack wills university outfitters'.
He offers a wide range of skills in graphic design , mostly in digital and identity. As most of his experience has been in retail this has given him a great understanding of what the retail industry want from designers today. His work has changed dramatically since graduating , i suspect this is from sheer experience which he has used to teach himself about what the wide world of the design industry wants.
And from this i have learnt that, although i might think i know what the fashion and retail industry want from me, i do not! Until i have widened my knowledge on what is actually out there by exploring it myself and getting myself noticed by the right people , i will fail. By doing this i need to get my act together and start to apply for placements in places that interest me.
However i do have an eye for designing for fashion and retail for certain companies, and although Ollie may have more experience than me in the industry that i want to go in , i have skills in motion graphics and layout which he docent , so after gaining experience and scratching up on knowledge about the industry , i may have lost a rival.
